Problem Statement

With the lack of awareness that the deafblind community face, they lack employment opportunities in the workforce, affecting their quality of life as they are unable to gain independence and financial stability.

Gain a total sales of $1665.00

Have 50% of participants to learn something about the deafblind through the workshops

  • Successfully gained a total of 28 participants for the perfumery workshops

  • Post survey responses indicated that 90.1% of participants learnt something new about the deafblind community 

  • Some responses by the participants on key things they have learnt about the deafblind community are:

 "I’ve learnt that it is very important in communication to voice out and talk instead of using body language in order to make them feel more included and comfortable as well"

​

  • We have exceeded our mentioned objectives by 40.1%

  • Hence, this highlights that we have successfully achieved our objectives in raising awareness for the deafblind community to the public

  • Each workshop session of 1.5 hours is priced at $35 per participant

  • The perfumery guides are remunerated $65 per workshop. 

  • Gained a total sales of $1583 (as of 29 July)

  • Projected total sales of $2948 (as of 5 Aug)

  • We have missed our mentioned objectives by $82

  • Hence, this highlights that we are not successful in achieving our objectives in gaining a total sales of $1665.00 

4 out of 5 of the perfumers felt that the workforce is inclusive

  • Successfully employed a total number of 6 clients to be perfumery guides, where 1 of them is deafblind, 3 of them is visually-impaired and 2 are deaf. 

  • Survey responses indicated that 6 out of 6 of the guides felt that the workforce is inclusive

  • When asked for the reason for their choice, most mentioned that Real. Scent

"They always meet us in convenient locations then bring us to the location"

  • Hence, this highlights that we have successfully achieved our objectives in providing an inclusive workforce for the deafblind community.
